Amber Lǎoshī (Teacher Amber)
Amber has been teaching language for over 25 years. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from Tamkang University in Taiwan. She has enthusiastically taught both English and Chinese.
Each students success in learning Chinese and the continuing friendships that are often established with parents, are testimonies to Amber's love and dedication for teaching. Amber is a gifted teacher and enjoys the challenges of taking "bored" students and turning then into happy and willing participants in a private or classroom setting.
Amber enjoys interacting with parents and considers this a crucial part of a child's success in learning Chinese "Learning Chinese is not easy. It takes time, effort and patience. I feel that communication between the teacher, the parent and the student is very important. If a parent is absent from this process, their child may struggle in learning a new language".
